Goodbye Epoxy!

You want that “I can’t believe my eyes” look for your garage or business, but don't want to put up with the fumes, the fuss, and the time it takes for the workers to clear and the surface to cure?

Not a problem for Accent! Concrete Coatings, a West Michigan company now able to provide a decorative concrete floor that leaves the competition in the Stone Age.

Say so-long to traditional epoxy treatments, and welcome the new kid on the block: A space-age wonder known as "polyaspartic coatings."

Even if you can't pronounce it, Accent! is well-versed in both its properties and applications, with "WOW!" factors that include delivering you a finished floor ready for full traffic in less than a day.

"For about the same price as an epoxy floor, we can provide a product and process that whips the epoxy option on every count," says Accent! founder Steve Grimm.

"Our revolutionary new coating system provides three times the abrasion resistance, twice the adhesion and 50 percent more flexibility than epoxy.

"The polyaspartic floor will stand up better to UV light, won't blush or whiten, can be installed in temperatures from below zero to over 120 degrees, and can be walked on and even driven on within a few hours after application."

"Bottom line?" says Grimm. "We're no longer a slave to the elements, and we pass on those advantages to every one of our clients."

According to Grimm, a typical polyaspartic floor "will cure in about two hours, and even less with heat and humidity."

The benefits? "You can be back on that floor the same day," says Grimm, "which means you don't have to close up your garage, shop, showroom or your restaurant for days on end."

"I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to take advantage of our system."

Terry Wright couldn't think of a reason. The Grand Rapids resident recently hired Accent! to beautify his condo's porch and two-stall garage and raved that "Accent! showed up on time, did exactly what they said they'd do, and it looks absolutely fantastic."

"Everybody who sees it," says the retired engineer "thinks it looks great!"
